Why do you think there would be a special version for Java 5? Are you experiencing problems? If so, which ones?

Hi! Thanks for replying.. yes I'm experiencing problem using the jar file posted in this website: http://jexcelapi.sourceforge.net/.

My exception is:
.class have Bad version

I googled this and some article say that my class have been compiled with a different version(maybe higher) than my JVM. So I search for the version of the JExcel and its compiled with Java 6.

I use Tomcat 5 and Java 5.

Huh. You might want to report that to the author as a bug; I'm pretty sure he didn't intend that. Meanwhile, I've put a version compiled with (and for) Java 5 at http://test.javaranch.com/ulf/jxl-2.6.12.jar
