Getting "Error unmarshalling file" exception

What operating system? What JDK and version? My initial guess would be that you are using the gnuc jvm, which is not certified - you need to use wither OpenJDK or an Sun JDK.

java.lang.RuntimeException: Error unmarshalling file:/opt/jboss-5.0.0.GA/bin/file:/opt/jboss-5.0.0.GA/bin/run.jar!/org/server/default/conf/bootstrap.xml


Did you set the JBOSS_HOME environment variable? You don't have to set it. Looks like you set it to an incorrect value.
