On June 10 2009, I passed Part 1 exam for SCEA....

In January 2010, I downloaded Part 2 Assignment.....

Is there a time limit that forces you to submit a completed assigmnent and sit the exam, all within one year of having passed Part 1?

i.e. does Part 1 exam pass expire after 1 year, if you haven't yet passed Part 2 and 3?

You see, June 10 2010 is getting very close! Help!

Maybe I am getting mislead by a post on this very forum that I read months ago (can no longer find it).
The only related info from T & C's I found was:

http://ibt.prometric.com/sun web page says: "4. ...... You have up to one year to complete the assignment and the essay."

However that does not state the time relationship between the Part 1 exam and the rest!

Actually I am working on the assignment as we speak and I have passed the part I Beta in 2007 so there is no connection between the Part I and Part II in time. You just need to pass Part I in order to step to the assignment.
Further more the assignment can take as long as you wish , there is no time limit there.
However the essay voucher you bought (in January ? ) can be used just one year so you can use it until January 2011 only therefore you need to finish and take the essay before January 2011 (or buy another essay voucher if the assignment takes more time).
Good Luck !
