This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Thanks everyone! With 93% I only missed 4 questions! I'm proud that my lowest sectional score was 80%, meaning I have an extremely even distribution. I would have been annoyed if I had passed but bombed a particular section.
Prep: Read the Bates & Sierra SCJP 1.6 book in about a week, did practice the 3 MasterExam exams offered by the book over 3 days. I previously completed SCJP 1.4 certification but decided against the Upgrade exam. Did not consult any other material except the Java doc APIs.
Thoughts... the exam was easier than the MasterExam questions. It also tells you how many answers a question has, which is quite reassuring compared to the Master Exam where you have no clue. While you can revisit drag-n-drop questions, you cannot see your previous answer once you leave the question. In other words, if you revisit a drag-n-drop question you have to answer it from scratch. Kind of annoying but not a big deal.
