Objective 4.1 of the SCEA states:

Explain and contrast uses for entity beans, entity classes, stateful and stateless session beans, and message-driven beans, and understand the advantages and disadvantages of each type.

What is the difference between entity beans and entity classes? I'm confused.

Entities are part of the Java Persistence specification available for EJB 3.0 and it provides a POJO Programming
model for persistent objetcs.

Entity Beans are part of Enterprise Java Beans specification up to EJB 2.1.
