Regarding MenuItem

I am new to swings application. In my application MenuItem is by default Disabled.I didn't get why its disabled.
How i can enable Menuitem?What may be the problem behind this?

So in your 'code' there might be a problem. Let me lookup the crystall balll ... nope, nothing to see. So maybe if you postet your code, we could investigate the matter?
