I keep reading here and there that there's a tool for converting SVG into JavaFX. I am just learning with the NetBeans IDE 6.9 BETA being pushed by JavaFX.com ...

So where the heck is the conversion tool, and how do I use it? (Maybe it's easy to use, but just thought I'd throw in the use question just in case there are some tricks to it.)

Found it. It's in something called "Production Suite" that has to be downloaded and installed. The install can't find my java SDK but that's another matter. I have a query into tech. help, but got a message back saying they only monitor email Mon - Fri. It's always something.

Try inkscape (http://www.inkscape.org).
You can draw svg graphics and save it in javafx format (save-as -> JavaFX).
See here how to use it: http://silveiraneto.net/2008/11/21/inkscape-and-javafx-working-together/

Have fun,
Uli

Hey - that looks pretty nice. I'd noticed the name "inkscape" around here and there. Thanks for pointing to it, and how to use it.
