Can someone tell me what jar I need for the latest version of Spring. I've gone to the download page and downloaded spring-framework-3.0.2.RELEASE and when I added all the jars in that to my project in eclipse I can't see any classes when I expand the jar in package explorer. The icons next to each package are white instead of brown like the ones in other jars that actually contain classes.

Thanks

spring.jar? Depends on what else you need, or if you want to only use specific modules.

Please see the JavaRanch naming policy and change your display name to conform with this policy. Thanks!

In my suggesstion,

You will try to use NetBeans IDE latest version. This IDE have default spring framework.

you download the following jars
1. spring.jar
2. spring-mock.jar
I think its enough. I am not sure about this. But the IDE and above jars are satisfied in my sample spring related work.

This has nothing to do with IDEs; downloading and using the correct Spring jars is plenty.

In my sample project,

I use Netbeans IDE6.7.1
Front end, i have use struts tags.
And backend (database related work), i have use spring.

I select the option such as struts 1.3.8 and Spring Web MVC 2.5 during project creation.
Then i add the following jars (spring.jar and spring-mock.jar) in my projects.

Thats why i told my previous post.

@Eswara: not you; Christopher was asking the original poster, since they're the one with the problem, and the person he quoted.
