Hi,

The SCJP exam has the "Mark for review"feature, where one could mark a question for whatever reason. I am sure some ways of utlizing this mark feature are better than the others.

Could folks throw their ideas about this? For example, could I use the mark feature to breeze through the easy questions i.e. only answer the easy questions in the first round and mark all unanswered questions. Then take another round and answer the medium difficult ones (and unmark them) and then take another round to answer the most difficult ones. I think this was the kind of strategy suggested in ExamLab too.

But I understand that there is some overhead in going in such round robins, because you have to invest sometime to analyze the difficulty level of a question before deciding to skip a question. So that time is a overhead and is a waste. But at the same time sitting too long on a difficult question is a bad strategy.

Again, could folks share their ideas and thoughts about how they use the mark feature to their advantage? Oh, also the comment feature should be a very useful one that folks should take advantage of.

Thanks.

I only used it for questions I really couldn't figure out. I marked those questions, and reviewed them at the end. Personally, I don't like the idea of making several rounds, I think it's a waste of time and it breaks concentration.

I think you should follow your own style on this one. I tried to breeze through the easy ones and tried the hard ones later. However I did not use the mark for review feature. I noted this down using the plastic sheet and pen that they gave me. Mark for review is great too.
