Hi. Roel shared his build.xml, so maybe I will share mu pom.xml (I am a maven2 fan and am much more comfortable with it as I have been using ant very very little).

To make sure all variable places are not missed, they are included in < and > - this will cause errors in XML editors. There are also small comments so that the places are more easily spotted in text editors.

Just run 'mvn verify' to have the submission jar in ${project}/target. It uses a workdir to have the required parts copied there and than uses it for the jar goal to package the final assignment jar. I use the 'verify' phase as it is after the package phase (which has some additional plugins bound as wel), and I had to bind the other jar goal somewhere, and verify seemed ok.

maven and ant gurus - if you see any error or a bad practice, feel free to comment.

Maybe it will come in handy for someone apart from me.

Raf

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
