innovation?

hi to all,
i need a contribution on you guys, this coming september there will be a competition using java language, and we have to prepare a program/application
that is usefull or innovative or can contribute to the society, i live in the philippines so that you can imagine our society.

what could be the application? can you help me how to think?

i know i can ask my instructors, friends here, but i want the javaranch ideas, because i have confidence in you guys.

any help would be much appreciated.
