I have been working with servlets for sometime and I am trying to get a hang of using struts(Its so boring to just pick up a book and read about it...It would be great to learn it in a project..)Anyway, I digress...How do you use Struts and Swing together? That is, do you use Swing to write JSp pages and struts framework to process it..Then what is use of JSp ? Hopefully, its not that lame a question. Appreciate your replies.

Swing is an API for writing desktop applications, not web applications. Struts has a custom tag library used in JSP's for rendering HTML elements. I am going to move this to the Web Application Frameworks forum where Struts is a topic of interest.

We can use applets, which may use Swing components, in the web pages, which resides in Struts framework...

No we don't use Swing to write JSP pages... We use text editors to write JSPs and put them into Struts framework to get a complete web application...

Then what is use of JSp ?

JSPs are used to display dynamic contents from servers...

Hope it helps...
