What's in the examples directory ? If you installed Tomcat using the Windows Installer, you have to select the Examples during the installation.

hi sir,

i used the netbeans installer package which bundles tomcat ...

i'm actually unable to access my webapps folder ... which stores the xml files , the servlets etc ...

otherwise with netbeans it is running fine ...

and moreover when i installed tomcat from its own installer i can do everything

I don't understand. You can access it with your Windows Explorer, can't you ? What's in the webapps/examples folder ? I bet it's just a dummy folder, without the examples.

i got it sir ... actually the tomcats which comes bundled with the netbeans package isn't allowing access to webapps folder ...

it contains the examples and all the doccumentations ... anyways

when i install tomcat through its own installer ... it allows to access the webapps folder

i need to access it in order to deploy servlets ...
