I'm new to java, Can any one say the major diff btw java 1.5 and java 1.6.
whether i need to make a certification to get into an job.

I'd suggest searching the web for answers to the first question.

As to the second: it depends. Do you *need* it? Definitely not, but some employers require or prefer it. It all depends on who you want to work for, the kind of people you want to work for, what your other qualifications are, and so on.
