Hi,

I posted this earlier but thought I had resolved it (wrong).......New to JDev and Java (just earned my SCJA) and unable to find a way to return all rows when "no selection" item is selected in a dynamic SelectOneChoice. I want the user to be able to move back and forth from viewing all rows by selecting "no selection" and to view a filtered set of rows based on selected critera in the SelectOneChoice. To accomplish this I have been trying to code a custom method in the ViewObjectImpl file along with an InvokeAction in the page definition file, but I've so far been unsuccessful. Below is the most recent attempt to code the custom method in the ViewObjectImpl file:

public void testmbq(String testthisp){
if (testthisp != null) {
setWhereClause("IPEDS_CAT_ID = :TheId");
defineNamedWhereClauseParam("TheId", null, null);
setNamedWhereClauseParam("TheId", testthisp);
executeQuery();}
else {
skipNamedWhereClauseParam("IPEDS_CAT_ID = :TheId");
executeQuery();
}

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
