Not such a good score, but at least is a pass.
Nothing about serialization or notify() .

I received a dry marker and some plastic sheets, they don't give paper sheets anymore, I was like ?

My voucher was expiring tomorrow, I felt I was not ready for the exam but today was the last chance otherwise the voucher would've been wasted.

The guy @ the center told me that Sun will not send the diploma, the pin and the card but now the diploma is just electronic. Can anybody confirm this?

When will the result appear in my Prometric account?

Good luck guys, K&B book is great, my best thoughts to its authors,

Good luck to all the people preparing for this !!!

Congratulations ... ... 83% is a good score !

I do not understand the dismissive talk on this forum about Serilization and notify(),
however. First, the test questions are drawn from a library. So if one person does
not see these questions, someone else may. Second, I would not hire a programmer,
even an SCJP certified programmer, that does not have a firm understanding of
Serialization, wait() and notify(). What gives?

Congrats mate!

My voucher also runs out today.

I took mine at an Excom testing center through prometrics today. 30%

Yeah I didn't really study so it's my own fault.

Would you mind sharing what the K&B book is please? I'm thinking of resitting again an a month or two.

congrats gee!!!

Hi steven, K&B book means Sun Certified Programmer for Java 6 study guide by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates. If you are new to java programming you can follow up head first java then start study on the above book.
You told that you took exam in Excom centre, is it in singapore? if so i can suggest you to take this book from any of the national libraries.

Hi Mahendran,

I use Java at work quite a bit, just not all aspects of it I guess lol. Luckily it turns out a friend at work had an electronic copy of that book you mentioned.

I took the test in Australia. I'll have to study up and try again in a month or two.

BTW. I noticed on the test that one of the questions asked me to pick any TWO design concepts for a question but only provided me radio button options meaning I could only choose one. I told the Excom supervisor and they didn't really care.
