Question about DynaActionForm

Hi, all, i'm a newbie in struts, and I'm reading a app code, here is a question about DynaActionForm:
in form-beans definition part, one is:
<form-bean dynamic="true" name="itemDetailForm" type="org.apache.struts.action.DynaActionForm">
<form-property name="view" type="an inner action" />
</form-bean>

correspondent code in the inner action is:
ItemDetailView itemDetailView = serviceImpl.getItemDetailView(itemId);

( (DynaActionForm) form).set("view", itemDetailView);

I need to know what the difference is between the way and traditional way(result set is ferried by a request or a session)
, what are the merit and demerit in this way?

Cheers.

There is a Struts Action inside the ActionForm?!
