if the client disable the cookie in their browser, the container falls back to url rewriting.
Now all the url has the session id.

Will all the submit action get the session?

or through url rewriting, we can support only the URL?

Hi Thennam Pandian ,

The Container will use the URL rewriting as a fall back mechanism for ONLY those URLs we encode . That is to whatever URL we encode it .
for eg .response.encodeURL('someurl.do')

So we can track the session ( even for submit action ) through URL rewriting.

Hi Thennam Pandian ,

URL rewriting is possible only for dynamically generated HTML files it is NOT possible for static HTML files.
That is the HTML should be a runtime generated file(created in Servlet) or JSP .

So if your page is a dynamically generated page then with the help of Javascript you can set a encoded url string to document's action .
In that way you can do URL rewriting when a submit button is clicked

Hope this helps

As long as you encode the form's action URL, yes you can.
