Hi,

I am planning to give SCDJWS exam. After going through this forum I finalized 3 books to prepare for this exam apart from Ivan notes.

1) RMH
2) SOA using Java web services
3) Java Web services Up and Running

Out of above three, the second one seems very complex to me. I have read first two chapters and really got very confused. Its all filled up with lots of theory.

My question is: Do we really need to study the 2nd book to appear for exam (or) Does the first and third book along with Ivan notes enough for this exam.

Please help me on this.

I started with RMH and used it only for XML, WSDL & SOAP.

I completed the "SOA using Java web services" and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Read it slowly, if you try to read it quick, you will feel intimidated with the verbosity of the book.

After first 3 chapters, the book builds up on the stuff you already read and it becomes easier.

hope this helps...

Yes, you'll need some SOAP and WSDL background before the Hansen book makes sense. Read the RMH book first, then you should be OK.
