Translation and compilation happens only ONCE page:308 HFSJ

Hi All,
This page says:"When you deploy a web app with a JSP, the whole translation and compilation step happens only once in the JSP’s life. Once it’s been translated and compiled, it’s just like any other servlet. And just like any other servlet, once that servlet has been loaded and initialized, the only thing that happens at request time is creation or allocation of a thread for the service method. So the picture on the previous two pages is for only the first request.".

Please tell me , while the application is running if i will change the .jsp file in the temp folder (as i am using JBoss)., will it be directly be converted by jsp container to .class file or it still follows same translation-compilation process.
I believe it will follow the same life cycle process.

It follows same translation-compilation process.Adding on translation involves syntax checking(failing wich results into 500 errorcode).
