I am thinking that as far as a DB Server is concerned , any connections in the pool are indeed open even though not actively working for any client and further that any client taking a connection from the pool must have already passed some type of authentication. In other words , are the connections in the pool all at the same level in regard to user rights for the specified database? Thanks for your consideration.

If anyone could recommend a book that covers this subject well , please do so. Thanks. PL
