Using Thumbnail PDFs

I am not sure this is the correct place to post this.

Currently I have a web page with a link to a four part report. When the link is clicked I run JasperReports to create pdf files in a $.getJSON call then the callback does four window.open calls with the respective returned pdf file path.

I would like to present the user with a page containing four thumbnails of the pdf and when the thumbnail is clicked present the full size printable pdf in a window.

Can I get some direction on how to make this happen?
