Dear authors,

How does your book approach Struts,
do you have a list of common problem
scenarios for which you provide answers.
Or do you dissect a single scenario
and show Struts details as the pop
up?

Cheers,

Gian

Struts Recipes is designed to address "how do I do that" scenarios. Each recipe is structured in the following way

Problem: A statement of the problem to be solved
Background: The information you need to understand the solution
Recipe: The solution. It includes detailed code listing.
Discussion: The why, why not, alternative considered, rationale, and gotchas.
Related: Other related recipes in the book
References: Outside references pertinent to the recipe

In addition, the book covers the following broad areas
* basic every day recipes (i.e. automated build)
* forms
* layout tags
* validation
* internationalization
* security
* advanced (i.e pdf, hibernate, xsl, layered apps, etc.)
* testing (StrutsTestCase, Cactus, jCoverage, Performance testing, etc.)
