Just got an email from Oracle University that Oracle is offering the opportunity to take part in a beta testing of Java EE 6 certification exams. The beta test will be administered through Prometric and the cost for taking the beta exam is 50 US dollars. If you take the beta exam and pass, you will get full credit for the real exam.
Since I just completed my SCEA 5, I have no intention of taking the beta to upgrade any of my certifications. Just thought someone else might be interested in the Java EE 6 beta certification exams. BTW, the details are also posted on the Oracle education web page.

these are more like individual specialty Java EE specific test,
There are Oracle certification exams for each of the following specialities:
* JavaServer Faces (JSF) Development
* Servlet and JavaServer Pages (JSP) Development
* Web Services Development
* Java Persistance API (JPA) Development
* Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) Development
Its valid through July 30, 2010 for only $50 USD and passing the beta counts for full final exam credit.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information.
Although the exam price for the Beta Exam - Sun Certified Developer for Java Web Services EE6(CX-311-232), appears to be $50 US from Oracle education pages, registering via Prometric the Net price shows as £183 ($300), just wondering why this Beta exam(which I like to do) costs more..
Has anyone tried buying this Exam via Prometric. Please advise.
Thanks

I just registered for the Web Services Beta and it cost £33 (33 GBP). I paid using a voucher I had but the cost was the same money or voucher.
