Fellow Ranchers

i am not sure if the question qualifies to be part of this forum..perhaps i can't decide.
please help me wrap my brains around this:

i've WAS6.1 and have server1 running on node1. i wish to install an ear (same) with different context roots (absurd!).
here's what i've but am not satisfied with my understanding..the ear has application.xml which defines <context-root>..this context in turn binds to, calls to resources available in a war packaged inside this ear.
for some silly reason i need to install same application with different context say..temp.com/rootA and temp.com/rootB
i can do this by manually changing the application.xml and web.xml to have "rootA" and "rootB" in two different ear's...still is there a way to achieve this in simpler, easier approach?...i am gone blind..

help please...thanks!

Try changing the context root while you are deploying the app(Ear file) from the console.

OR

If you already deployed, goto admin console-->and to applications-->Click on the application...
on your right hand side under web module properties click context root for webmodules and chnage and save.

Access the application with the new context root....

hope this helps.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
