I have an existing web application developed in ASP from which I am trying to get the values from a field called 'product type' which is a drop down menu When i view source, instead of <option-value>, I see

<tr>
<td style="text-align:Left;vertical-align:Top;">Product Type</td>
</tr>

<td id="ctl00_ctl00_MasterBody_TransactionsTabContent_gvDesignSets_DXTDGScol3" class="dxgvHeader_Office2003_Olive" onmousedown="aspxGVHeaderMouseDown('ctl00_ctl00_MasterBody_TransactionsTabContent_gvDesignSets', this, event);" style="width:30px;text-align:Left;vertical-align:Top;border-left-width:0px;border-top-width:0px;"><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" style="width:100%;border-collapse:collapse;">

Well there is no HTML element <option-value> so that is not a surprise it does not display that. You are using sme sort of server control that takes mark-up and produces other mark-up. That is not uncommon.

Thanks for that.
How can I get the values? I can't contact the programmer who made the application. What way is there otherwise I will have to manually input the values into the new system we are creating.

I would guess they are in a a table in code you have not shown. Is it that hard to look for the value that is in the backend that you expect to see on the frontend?

They won't allow you to see the values you're trying to modify? How do they expect you to fix it?

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
