What lifecycle interceptors run inside transactions?
postconstruct, predestroy?

It's no transaction context while the livecycle methods run.

Actually, for EJB3.1 Singleton beans, the transaction context is available in lifecycle methods. So it depends on which version of EJB, the original poster is referring to.
