Hi,

Please point me where can i check the Sun Certified Programmers list.
Is it possible if i want to cross check about anybody, whether if he/she has really done certification.

I don't think there is any page which lists all the SCJPs in the world. Anyone who wants to confirm that they've done SCJP can login from the Sun Certification database and send out an email to the target person. That mail will be a proof that you are SCJP...

But i think there should be a way to cross check the things.. Otherwise anybody can put themself as passed SCJP with 100%.

What is the proof to outside world? Never mind about the percentage but there should a link to check at least whether one has really done certification.

I have seen many resumes with certification logos, but after interviewed the person i doubt whether he had really done certification.

You can verify that person is certified if the person will "publish" his/her credential via Sun Certification Database:

1) Go to: http://certmanager.net/~sun (https://i7lp.integral7.com/durango/do/login?ownername=sun&channel=sun&basechannel=prometric)
2) Log in (use Prometric ID)
3) Select "Publish Credentials" link on the left
4) Type email ID of the person who wants to check if the candidate is really certified (in this case - your email ID) and select which certifications to publish.
5) Click "Publish report".

Thanks MZ,

That shows my certification details.

In that case if i wanted to check for some one else i should request him to send this report to me to see if he really done the certification.

That is OK to some extent. But i was thinking if there is any way to search by the name. I think that is not possible.

Do you think there is any reason for not providing such search facility by SUN?

Go to certview.oracle.com
Use your oracle ID to logon and prepare your candidate ID with you.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
