hi,
in my application i used jsp pages...the problem arises at modification...im using EL to get previous values that means already existing ones..im using 'disabled' concept for the text field i created but it is showing 'null' after i submit the form...if i check my XML...how to make it appear with the previous values.

Disabled fields aren't sent to the server.

Infact what you can probably do is, make those disabled fields enabled just before the form is submitted using JS.

No, you can't. In fact, no such method even exists.

You could also set some hidden fields if you don't want to set those fields enabled/disable.

So if you got disableName you could create a nameHidden that you would get on you class.
