Just curious who will be playing. As with anything, I'll probably wait for a patch or 2 before I buy it. Let the hype settle down a bit. I loved the original Star Craft. Everything I've seen of II makes me think it is going to be really good.
My copy is on order at Amazon. Don't expect to get it until the second of August.
I put a legal copy of Windows 7 on my main computer, with quad Core i7, 8GB ram, and fast nVidea card. The machine, I got for development, but the Windows is for Starcraft.

Awesome! If you want (and if you have one) PM me your Real ID.
Got my copy of SC2. Had to update my Win 7 setup. Took a few hours. Signed up for Battle.net again.
Battle.net properly downloaded an upgrade already.
Worked through a couple of the "easy" tutorial campaigns, which were trivial since I've played all of all three releases of Warcraft, and tons of Starcraft 1. (I've not played *any* world of warcraft)
Played a game last evening with my daughter (she is up in NYC) and a couple of her friends.
I need a bit of practice before I'm willing to play someone I'm not related to. :-)
I do have Steam on my computer and recently played Alien Swarm, a game that's available for free on Steam (you can also get the source code, it's meant as an example for the API that they have). It's fun, together with others you have to work your way through a space ship, shooting aliens that have infested it.
Meh, not much of a gamer anymore.
I used to love RTS games, but have been thoroughly dissapointed by most recent franchise installments - I'm looking at you here C&C.
The only "recent" RTS that was worth playing, in my opinion, was Company of Heroes.
