Hi,

For my application I need to detect the version of Clients browser. If it is IE8 then redirect it to different page.
I am using request.getHeader( "User-Agent" ); to get the browser and its version but the browser although is IE8 is
reporting itself as IE7
Is there another way to detect the browser version?

thanks

HI
I did something similar but I did not need to know the version (only the browser)
Please read these articles and let me know if get the solution.

I could give you a suggestion but I need to see you code used for that.

Hasta Luego
