My client does not have telnet client. how can I access telnet server via browser?

I don't think there's a web browser that has a Telnet client built in. On the other hand, I also don't think there's an operating system that doesn't come with a Telnet client - all Unix-based OSes certainly do, as does Windows.

Stock browser, you can't. You'd need an applet, ActiveX control, etc. You could write something like this:

http://www.mosha.net/01-telnet-gateway/javascript.shtml

but since we don't know your usecase, it's hard to know if that would fit your needs.

I need to control remote machines via webapplication. Don't want to install or configure any application on client machine. Hence I need something that is embedded in browser. How can I make applet to for this.
P.S. I never worked with Applets so any clues to start with will be beneficial.
