Portlet Mode Handler Mapping and configuring the controller

hi all,
how to map portletmodehandlermapping with the controller.

can i know the steps for writing a controller an mappings.
if anybody knows spring 3.0 annotations.
please help me out.
i have googles also no document is perfectly available all the docs are giving overall idea.
