I got this email back from a
"Chris" at Oracle:
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the inquiry.
This year,
Java University is going to be held on Friday, September 24 (the last day of JavaOne, Oracle Develop, and Oracle OpenWorld conference) at the Moscone Center South.
We have 16 advanced sessions this year, and we have expanded the Java Certification Prep class to a full day this year (8-hours vs. 4-hours last year).
The full day session will enable the two Certified Java instructors who are teaching the class to spend more time on the
test questions and prepping students.
Unfortunately,
Java University does NOT have a certification testing area at JavaOne this ye ar -- so we will not be conducting certification exams at JavaOne this year. So, there will be no testing center at JavaOne.
However, you can still take the
SCJP certification pre! p class -- you would then need to go to a standard Prometric testing center to take the exam, at your convenience. You would need to purchase a test voucher.
Hope this is not too big an inconvenience for you this year.
We look forward to seeing you at Java University again this year. I will be at the sessions, so look me up if you have additional questions.
Thanks, Chris McDonald
