Congratulations with passing the SCJP with such an incredible score
Welcome to the SCJD forum.
You could have a look at this thread with an almost identical question.

haha was just going to redirect you to the thread which roel mentioned........
From my personal experience(10 days of scjd assignment programming), i would say it is a wonderful experience. But you do need a little background. I believe you are from india (like me). Personally quite a few concepts were very new for me at that time. especially things like design patterns, design etc. I did learn these things, but understood their importance only when i was working with my company(albeit for a very small time).
I am finding it a little tough, but very manageable. It might not make the most impact on your resume, but if learning is your aim, it is definitely not impossible to learn... this is of course my experience

Vivek,
I also took my SCJP 2 months ago and now i'm studying for SCJD.
First, i'm reading the SCJD Exam with J2SE 5, Second Edition book, after i'll buy the vouncher.
It's a big challenge, but after i think that the knowledge and recognition will be rewarding (:
Good Luck!

Grande Flavio!
Champion, if you have chance, take a look at the 40th edition of the MundoJava magazine. It has an article written by me, where I explain the steps to be taken to resolve the assignment and how to design the application. Since you are still going to start developing the assignment, I think it might be helpful to you!

Howdy, Gaurav!
Well champ, unfortunately not. I would still have to translate it to english. I'll see if I can translate the article that was published "as is", or I will create a version of it. As soon as I have something, I'll let everybody know!

Hi Vivek,
I think you can start reading a book on the exam, preferably Andrew Monkhouse book.
If it makes "sense" to your time and goal, go for it. Why not?
Warmest regards
Bernard
