Am thinking of doing an essay at uni on the strengths contra weaknesses between Struts and Spring. But before I start delving into all available info concerning these two frameworks, I just wanted to check with you pros if this sounds crazy or if you think it could be interesting and worthwhile?

Thanks in advance.

It sounds pretty interesting. I would imagine it would take alot of time and work to do a good thourough job, but I could see some real benefit to it.

While you're at it add Tapestry to your comparison.

Struts and Springs... when does "shock absorber" come out?
How did we get automobile metaphors from Java, anyway?

Very clever

All joking aside, I do think that this comparison is very useful.
I cut my teeth in web development doing Struts, but lately, I've used Spring in my latest project and I find it easier to get my mind around it than with Struts.

To the original poster, go for it, let me know of your progress, maybe we can compare notes.
