I am using netbeans6.1.I am going to develop a web application project.which one is better "servlets or useBean".what are the advantages of servlets over UseBean?

They are not competitors -- both have their place in modern web applications. It's like saying "What's better, a fork or a knife?" They are both tools that work together.

Now, if what you are asking is "Which should I use: Model 1 or Model 2?", then that answer is easy: Model 2.
