I use sun glassfish for my application, however at startup I use mod-jk module for the stability between tomcat and glassfish.
I got the following error..Why I am getting this error? What is the solution?

|SEVERE|glassfish3.1|org.apache.tomcat.util.threads.ThreadPool|_ThreadID=17;_ThreadName=Thread-1;|threadpool.busy|#]

I am going to show my ignorance and ask what mod_jk is for in a Glassfish installation.

I thought mod_jk was only for connection Tomcat to the Apache web server.

You can use mod-jk in order to connect glassfish and tomcat. I use 2.15 version of mod jk and it works properly before the migration of sun glassfish newest version. I need urgent suggestions..

But doesn't Glassfish implement the whole JEE including the servlet API?

That is what this Sun page indicates.

So why use Tomcat at all?

I use glassfish for my application. But the problem occurs when the tomcat server connects to glassfish server with mod jk. I looked up mod jk log file; and I receive following errors,

[info] ajp_send_request::jk_ajp_common.c (1178): Socket 24 is not connected any more (errno=-1)
[info] ajp_send_request::jk_ajp_common.c (1202): Error sending request. Will try another pooled connection
[info] ajp_send_request::jk_ajp_common.c (1225): All endpoints are disconnected or dead
[info] ajp_service::jk_ajp_common.c (1749): Sending request to tomcat failed, recoverable operation attempt=1
