Hi,

I took SCWCD test yesterday and I failed with 57%.
I am really disappointed.
When I started the exam, I got confused with some of the questions. I had 6 questions in Patterns.
But I had low percentage in "Building JSP Pages using the EL".

I thought I prepared well enough.
I studied HFSJ book, and I did most of the mock exams.
Now I'm planning to take the exam again in 3 weeks.
Can anyone please advice me what I have to do more / how to prepare?

I really appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

About patterns, did you read this document ? Also, you could try to buy a commercial mock like Enthuware's. It will surely help you.

This exam needs a lot of cramming (and practising), try to focus memorising bits of API's, tags and so on. Write them everyday so that it really sticks. Have a look at my notes (SCWCD links), and try reading and cramming 1 chapter everyday. Use eclipse to try some coding.

Like Christophe is saying: if you are able buy Enthuware that would be of great help; it contains questions in the same style and same difficulty as the real exam.

Don't give up, and good luck!

Regards, Frits
