What is the javaranch.com domain used for?

Most of the site components are hosted at coderanch.com instead of javaranch.com . Why do we use two domain names for one website this way? Or is there something that I am missing?

Thanks!

Before the JForum migration, everything was on javaranch.com domain. With that migration, coderanch.com was introduced for the moose saloon forums, while keeping the rest of the contents on javaranch.com. One of our targets is to move into embrace more than java - someday everything will probably be on coderanch.com domain.

That's actually technically not true. Just the forums are on coderanch. Everything else (FAQ, game, book reviews, etc) are still on javaranch.com.
