Exiting Struts & returning

Howdy, I need to go from a Struts action classs' execute method to a non-struts servlet, process some data and come back into a struts jsp with a newly populated form.

So far, I take my form data, convert it to xml. Put the xml string into a request attribute and forward to the non-struts servlet (I set up a global forward that points to the servlet I need).

In the non-struts servlet, I pull out the xml and process it. Now I have some values I want to populate into a struts form and then forward to the forms jsp page.

What is the suggested process for populating a struts form in a non-struts servlet and forwarding it to a struts jsp?
