output :
before serializationfredy 541
after serializationfredy 44
ok fine code works well til now.
Q: now if at line 31 if we pass string"att" instead of "ser"
FileInputStream fs=new FileInputStream("att");
then
output :
before serializationfredy 541
after serializationfredy 541
w is being serialized in my opinion as it returns same value.

Even though I personally think Serialization is really cool, Sun decided to remove it from the SCJP exam. So, if you're focused on studying for the exam, you can leave this topic alone.

thanks sir for the kind information.
i didn't knew that serialization has been removed as it was given in the BOOK(kathy siera and bert bates).
someone told me earlier that wait and notify also has been removed, is it like that?
please do tell us the other topics that has been recently removed from SCJP 1.6(310-065) but still given in book,
it will remove lots of load from SCJP1.6 aspirant students who are referring BOOK(kathy siera and bert bates)??
thanks once again!!

Hmmm...
This might not be the complete list, but for sure these topics have been removed:
- wait and notify
- serialization
- System.gc()
Be careful with this last one! System.gc() is gone but garbage collection and finalize() are still in the exam and tricky!
The objectives for section 1 have been consolidated a bit, but I think all the old bases in section 1 are still covered.
Bitwise operators are gone, but they might have been gone as of SCJP 5.
Anyone know of others?

But you have to know that these methods belong to the Object class and are no static.
