This week's book giveaway is in the OCAJP 8 forum. We're giving away four copies of OCA Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide and have Edward Finegan & Robert Liguori on-line! See this thread for details.
Am back! I've finished my assignment using Sockets. Everything is working fine. But I just want to make sure that my code (rest of the connectivity part) remains same for both types of implementation. So I wanna implement the same project with RMI. Am very new to RMI. I have some questions.
1. I think there are three alternatives to bind the object. Could you please what those are and usage?
2. What these are :
If possible, small example for these or route me to the correct site.
3. I have used one RMI example that did not produce any stubs or anything - just like other class files I complied and executed
I didn't use rmic or some other tool to compile
I didn't start the rmi server separately (Is there any such we should do before actually binding the object/starting service)
Example I used is :
1. One interface which extends Remote Interface
2. One Server class (RMIServer) which extends UnicastRemoteObject and implements above interface
3. one client class
Am I missing something - not clear for me
