Java Web Developer

Job Description:

Create and maintain customer account management websites for prepaid debit card programs under direction of the Director of Web Development.
Follow the branding guidelines provided by the Marketing and Creative departments for each program.
Mark up the pages according to the mockups provided by Creative using CSS, (X)HTML, and JavaScript.
Development presentation layer functionality using Servlets and JSP.
Implement and manage all the copy provided by Marketing, including internationalization.
Work with the QA team to help fix bugs and usability issues.

Required skill set:

CSS
(X)HTML
JavaScript
Servlets and JSP
Java frameworks such as Spring MVC or Struts

Desired additional skills:

Experience with jQuery
Specific experience with Spring and Spring MVC
Fluency in a second language: especially Spanish

Experience:

4-5 years experience developing web applications using (X)HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Servlets and JSP.
Experience using source control software like Subversion.
Experience with internationalization.
Interest in usability and accessibility a plus.
Successful candidate will be a self-starting team player with a collaborative work style

Location:

This position is located in Austin TX.
Relocation assistance is a possibility.
Candidates must already be eligible to work in the US.
