Passed SCJP with 80% today

I successfully passed the SCJP6 exam today (80%) at the Prometric Testing Center in Berlin.

I used the K&B book for preparation as well as mock exam software from Enthuware and ExamLab. I had 1-2 month preparation time for the exam (I also cleared SCJA a month ago). I am a Newbie to Java and started to learn it in May (I was programming in C/C++ before). Over the last 3 weeks I was taking Enthuware Standard tests 1-9 with a score between 70% - 87%. My average score was around 75%. Furthermore I took the two MasterExam (72 questions per test) scoring 68% and 61%. I tried ExamLab Diagnostic test and scored exactly 65% (72 questions). In the Final test on ExamLab I failed with a score of 48% - I simply run out of time and had about 10-12 questions unanswered.

my acknowledgement:

- many thanks to Kathy and Bert for this outstanding book! It was a joy to read and turned out to be very helpful for preparation

- the Enthuware testing software JQPlus V6 turned out to be an excellant preparation for the real exam - I answered 540 questions from their question bank. Besides it's a good deal for a fair price.

- thanks also for the ExamLab software - I simply had not the time to run the regular tests but it seems to be a valuable tool

- and of course many thanks to JavaRanch and every one on the Java Forum.

Thank you a lot for all the congratulations!

I've got one question. I would like to go for another Sun (Java) Certificate and I've got the choice between SCJD or SCBCD. I am a natural scientist with some background in C/C++ but I am quite new to Java. I don't have the computer science / applied computer technology background. For prospective employers in the IT area would it be more valuable to hold the SCJD certificate to showcast programming experience?
What is your experience on Java certificate demands from the IT-industry?

Thanks a lot
