I am planning to write SCEA 5.0. Please suggest from where to start.

IMHO, if you spend only 30 minutes on the past thread/posts posted by people who cleared the exam and read SCEA link. I am 100 % sure you can find the answer for your question.

If you are having a designing / architecture experience of J2EE projects then it will not take time to clear this exam. You need to concentrate on patterns and its usage as most of the question revolve around this topics. Other area you need to concentrate are:

1. Presentation Framework like JSF
2. Web Services
3. Security
4. OOPs Basics

I recommend using this study guilde Adel Al-moshaigah, it's much better than the cade one, and it covers all of the objectives, I've used the Cade's study guide but it didn't help me allot in the exam, I was reading from Adel's book bits and pieces but I regret not reading all of it.

Also recommend you to read and try the APIs using JEE 5 tutorial.
