Hey guys, I'm wondering what's wrong as whenever I start my app, ( 3 in total, game server btw ).
even by starting the first one, Java.exe has memory usage of over 600mb.
And since there's 3 applications in total, it uses 1.8gb of memory.
This is on CentOS 5.5
When it is started in Windows, there's absolutely no problems and it'll only use around 40mb of memory.

I've even tried adding -Xmx256m but it still uses over 600mb.
Anyone have any idea what is causing this?

What i think is full application is loaded in the memory in CentOS... In Windows, part of the application is paged i.e., placed in the swap space(Virtual Memory)...

How would you go about fixing this?
Or is there no way to fix it?
