What is thread of Execution???

is it the currently executing thread ???
I'm bit confused on this.....

Thread is a java object. Let's take, our main() method is also executed by a thread. When you create your thread, and start to execute it, there will a separate call stack will be created as like main thread. Simply thread of execution means, the process/work carried out by threads.
