Android is developing quite fast, is it worth buying a book to study or will it become out of date too quickly?
Most of the tutorials I can find on the net are for version 1.x or 2.0, a lot of APIs have deprecated methods in 2.2 and things are changing quite a lot
A book covering 2.x (even 2.0) should serve you well for quite a while. Development is already slowing down, and many of today's devices will not run the upcoming version (2.3, or 3.0, or whatever). Even now, Android 1.5/1.6 have over a third of market share, so targeting 2.x with your app would leave many users behind.
