Okay, so I'm wondering, like, when does a parameter become an attribute? If say, the text in a text field is called a parameter for purposes of being passed on as part of the ServletRequest object, once it gets paired up with a key in the servlet itself, it all of a sudden becomes an attribute. Or is there some secret initiation rite I'm not privy to?

That sounds about right for this senario.
